TNT's 'Franklin & Bash,' 'Men of a Certain Age' Off to So-So Starts

TNT got off to slow starts with two dramas -- one new, one returning -- airing on Wednesday night.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer's rookie legal series?Franklin & Bash debuted to 2.75 million viewers, according to Nielsen's fast national data. (Canceled drama Dark Blue launched to 3.5 million for its series debut in 2009.)

Compared to the debut of Gosselaar's previous TNT legal drama Raising the Bar (7.7 million), canceled after its second season,?Franklin & Bash hasn't yet attracted a comparable audience.

Here are the numbers Franklin & Bash delivered in the adult demographics: adults 18-34 (554,000), adults 18-49 (1.15 million) and adults 25-54 (1.22 million).

Returning series Men of a Certain Age, led by Ray Romano, delivered 1.85 million viewers for its summer return at 10 p.m. -- down nearly 1 million from its lead-in. In the adults 18-49 and 25-54 demos, Men?averaged 591,000 and 825,000 respectively.

Compared to the Season 2 premiere in early December when it drew 2.4 million, the return episode of?Men is down. Men, which?launched in 2009 to 5.4 million viewers in the post-Closer spot, has been steadily declining.
