Windows Phone Tango details surface

Microsoft has revealed details for its Windows Phone Tango update.

The company's mobile operating system update will bring a raft of new features and bug fixes to Windows Phone handsets.

Users running the Tango OS will be able to add multiple attachments to a single text message, and import contacts to and from their SIM card.

Microsoft also confirmed that a host of other "improvements" and "enhancements" will be included in the update, which is yet to be given a full roll out.

Windows Phone Tango is already shipping on the European edition of the Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone, and is expected to come to other handsets in the near future.

Microsoft is expected to follow Tango with the Windows Apollo operating system later this year.
